Meet The Captain
Hi, I'm Brayden Boivin, your charter captain and the musky obsessed mind behind Musky Maverick Guide Co. I've been fortunate enough to turn that obsession into a profession, guiding anglers on some of the most beautiful and infamous waters of Ontario. I am a fully insured guide with my Small Vessel Operator Proficiency certificate. By sharing my knowledge, techniques and favourite fishing spots, my aim is to ensure every angler, no matter the experience level, walks away having had a memorable and thrilling experience hunting the most sought after species in Ontario.
Canadian Shield Waters
Ancient Precambrian rock and glacial carved rivers/lakes create some of the most pristine, deep waters on earth. Rugged granite, rocky humps, high current areas surrounded by endless boreal forest make these waters breathtaking.
Here, muskies rule as the undisputed apex predator and thrive in the shields complex habitats. Often exceeding 50 inches, these muskies are undoubtably some of biggest, baddest and most rewarding fish to catch.

The Season
My season includes multiple bodies of water. Each trip location is dependent on seasonal migrations, current bites and conditions on the water to ensure the best odds of contacting fish. June through November is primarily casting with trolling mixed in. November to season close is primarily jigging which happens to be my favorite bite of the year, with fish at there biggest potential.

The Rig
I Operate out of my Smoker Craft Excursion 166 T Pro (16' 5") with a 88" beam. Powered by a 70HP Yamaha Tiller. The boat is equipped with Garmin and Humminbird electronics as well as a minnkota terrova trolling motor. This boat is extremely comfortable and stable for those musky chop days leaving plenty of room for two additional anglers to join me for a day of casting, trolling or jigging.
